PureSecured SMB is a service designed to bring enterprise-level security and services into the reach and budget of Small/Medium Business. The Service is a combination of best-of-breed Security Appliance Software from Check Point Software Technologies and Management and Reporting software from SofaWare Technologies, combined with PureSecured's experience with enterprise reporting, incident analysis and procedure management. The combination of industry-best technology and PureSecured's service process management systems provide a security solution that allows you to rest assured that your information is securely protected, and that you can use Wireless and VPN technologies to allow you to work more productively, and without wasting time and effort on technology and reliability issues.

Technology Advantages

PureSecured SMB uses the Check Point Safe@Office and VPN-1 Edge Appliance devices for Security enforcement and threat management. These devices include Check Point's Next Generation Security Inspection technology and a broad spectrum of security features, allowing the service to meet a variety of flexible security concerns. Some of the key features are listed below:

Network Features

PureSecured Edge devices come with a 4 port VLAN-Capable switch, plus dedicated WAN and DMZ ports. Internal networks can be set up with Port and Tag-based VLANs, as well as access filters to restrict unauthorised machines from connecting to the network. The Edge device also includes a DHCP Server for easy network access.

Integrated ADSL Modem

PureSecured Edge Devices now have the option of including an integrated ADSL modem, so a single device can provide ADSL access, Wireless Access and Security in a single box.

Easy Security Policies

PureSecured Edge Devices come pre-configured with a standard security policy with three levels of security. An initial consultation and assessment is performed to determine access to internal machines from the Internet and/or DMZ segments. Standard Servers are enabled through a menu system, and custom rules can be created for particular requirements.

Secure Wireless Access

PureSecured Edge devices come in wired or wireless versions - wireless support includes all latest wireless security standards, as well as extended range support. Wireless Access can be combined with HotSpot features or Remote Access VPN for a complete wireless security solution.

VPN

PureSecured Edge Devices Support both Site-Site and Client-Site VPN Access. A SecureLAN mode can also be used for Secured and Authenticated access for internal LAN Users.

Hotspot Access/Authentication

PureSecured offers a unique Wired or Wireless HotSpot Access Point service for internal users, visitors or Internet Café users, complete with Customisable HTML Hotspot page configuration. This allows you to set up temporary or permanent authenticated internet access for guests or visitors with a minimum of fuss and security impact.

Gateway AntiVirus/Anti-Spam

PureSecured can monitor inbound and outbound traffic in real-time for viruses, worms, trojans and other malware, as well as monitoring inbound pop-3 and outbound SMTP traffic for SPAM.

SmartDefense

SmartDefense services provide protection against network attacks, as well as specific protection from worms and trojans for your web and mail servers.

P2P/Instant Messaging Filtering

PureSecured has the ability to block almost all P2P and IM systems, including those that masquerade as web traffic. This protects your business from the legal and technical risks that P2P/IM traffic can present to your network, as well as ensuring that internet performance remains optimal and is used primarily for work-related reasons.

 

PureSecured SMB Service Management

Any security product is only as good as the mechanisms that inform you about its performance. PureSecured realises this, and provides constant feedback to you so that any security incidents that require your attention are promptly notified to you with an appropriate action path.

Automated Device and AntiVirus Updates

The PureSecured service automatically updates the device to ensure that the latest threats are managed. Too often, security devices are not updated, and create the illusion of security when in fact they are using outdated security configurations that are not aware of the most recent threats. PureSecured keeps both the device and the AntiVirus signatures on the device current, to make sure you are always protected against the latest threats.

Regular Reporting

PureSecured provides regular weekly reports detailing the threats blocked in the previous week, as well as commentary and recommendations about any action items observed through the week. This is delivered securely to you via an encrypted email portal, ensuring that your reports do not get tampered with.

Vulnerablity Scanning

PureSecured provides an additional Vulnerability scanning and assessment service that can be performed on a regular basis to ensure that your environment remains secured.
